How Do I Donate My Body to Science??
First of all, the donation of your body and organs is free to the giver, and second of all some places will even pay for the cremation of the remains remaining! As with most things, it is a good idea to plan ahead and register in advance. There is also no guarantee that they will accept your remains. That probably sounds a little bit strange — but there are certain things they look for — not too obese, not infected with certain diseases (HIV, Tuberculosis, etc.) and other factors.
We came across this website and were impressed with it as a launching pad to learning about organ and tissue donation. Donate Life America – http://www.donatelifeamerica.com/. This is a link to the page “Understanding Organ Donation” : http://www.donatelifeamerica.com/UnderstandingDonation/
